Steps to install IMC Catatog in Mitchell1
  • Prior to this setup, please contact your IMC sales representative to provide you with a username and password for the Mitchell1 SE Manager.
  • Close Mitchell1 Manager SE application.
  • Run the IMC catalog installer by visiting the page https://kb.mitchell1.com/manager-files/catalogs/ and selecting the IMC link on the right side of Line #10. Single click on right side download link. Right click the file then choose "run as administrator". select Run when prompted. Click OK to the resulting screen to launch the installer.

  • Click Next.
  • If you choose to accept the license agreements click the radio button and then click Next.
  • If the user already has Mitchell SE Manager installed the setup will automatically detect the setup folder.
  • Click Install.
  • If the Mitchell SE Manager is in a different folder the user will be prompted to select that destination folder.
  • Click Install.

  • Click Finish
  • Restart Mitchell 1 Manager SE application.
  • Click on Configurations→Special Maintenance→Toggle Catalog Availability. This will open this box:

  • Click on the ‘IMC Link’ button to turn it on and click ‘Save’.
  • Click on Configurations→Vendor Setup→Add.

  • In the ‘Code’ box please enter any unique characters (limit is 8). Code should be unique among vendors. It will not allow the user to create a vendor if the CODE entered already exists. (For example you could enter IMC001).
  • Select your preferred Vendor Type (Part Distributor).
  • Enter unique Name (easily recognizable I.e. IMC).
  • Enter Contact/Address/Zip City/State/Phone Number/Fax number. This address should be IMC CANOGA PARK HEAD QUARTERS (8901 Canoga Ave Canoga Park CA 91304, 818-678-1200).
  • Select your preferred Account Class.
  • Terms/Limits/Comments are optional.

  • Click on Setup IMC Link Link. Click OK.

  • Enter IMC Web warehouse Username and Password. If you do not have an IMC username and password please contact your IMC sales representative.

  • You will need to click the OK buttons on all the open dialog boxes to get back to the main screen.
  • After completing these steps you will see the ‘IMC’ button at the bottom of the window on Work order:

  • Click on ‘Vehicle’ tab and enter VIN. Click on the ‘decode’ button. This will load the VIN.
  • Click ‘Next’.

  • Clicking on the IMC button will launch the IMC Web Warehouse. If the VIN was decoded properly in Mitchell 1 it will automatically be loaded into the IMC Web Warehouse:
  • Shop the site as you normally would and add product to the Shopping Cart. When you have completed your order click on ‘Shopping Cart’. Click the ‘Transfer’ Button on IMC Web Warehouse Shopping Cart:

  • After transferring the parts from IMC Web Warehouse to the Mitchell 1 work order click on the ‘Parts Ordering’ Button:

  • Make sure to select correct vendor in dropdown.
  • Click on ‘Price Check’ to confirm inventory and pricing.

  • Click on ‘Order Parts’ to submit order to IMC.

  • If the user wants to reuse all the parts from the previous work order. Please click the Parts Ordering button on the work order and then select the “Show all Parts” radio button. The User will then select the part they want to order. Click the “Tag”button on the right hand side of the popup (make sure the “+” sign is shown on tagging), click “Price check” and then “Order Parts”. Follow below screen shots.

 

  • Note: For IMC non delivery customers (non truck customers), default delivery option will be GROUND.
  • Minimum Requirement needed before install IMC catalog:
    •  Mitchell1 TeamWorks SE 6.4.0. User can verify which Mitchell1 they are on by click Help->About  Manager Plus.
